Brandon Elam was diagnosed with brain cancer in October 2004. Through the remainder of 2004 and 2005, Brandon underwent extensive chemo treatments and surgery to remove cancer free in July 2005. Unfortunately, the disease decided to return, and this time with a vengeance. This ride is dedicated to Brandon and anyone who has shown incomparable courage in their fight towards the elimination of this disease. Description: A bicycle touring ride to benefit Brandon and show our support in his fight against cancer. Proceeds will go to Brandon's family and the "24 Hours of Booty" Organization to support brain cancer research. Options: 62 miles (Metric Century), 40 miles, 20 miles & 5 mile fun ride. Registraition Fee: $20.00; ($15.00 for students, high school or younger); 5 Mile Fun Ride is free for everyone. Anyone registering early will recieve a free Brandon Elam-N8 Cancer bracelet and T-shirt. To be eligible, Adult bicycles must be able to complete a 20-mile loop, and Children's bicycles must be able to complete a 5-mile loop. |
